The Clever Girls and No nonsense have challenged me to come up with some outfits wearing tights and leggings. I LOVE IT! Tights and leggings are so versatile and whether you wear them as an accent piece or as a layer, they’re a great thing to have in your wardrobe.
My style is truly personal! I think everyone’s style reflects their lifestyle and since I am always on the go, I am always changing between clothes appropriate for a mom (of a 5 year old boy), casual-ish clothes for school, clothing that’s more professional (for meetings and such) and then dressing up in the evening for events. Sometimes I go through all of these in one day, so I love having pieces in my wardrobe that I can wear in different ways.
Fall and Winter are probably my favorite time to get dressed! I love layering, recombining ‘old’ outfits in new ways and finding unique new pieces to pull everything together. Not to mention that every year I pull out my ‘Winter Clothes’ box, I get so excited! Don’t you!?
Retailing between $6.49 (for tights) and $15.99 (for the leggings I’m wearing), the No nonsense tights and leggings are 90% made in USA. (THAT is pretty cool!) *you know I’m a sucker for local and domestic products*
The look below is something you’d definitely catch me wearing on any given weekday. The jean leggings really are comfy and the stitching and ‘grain’ of the fabric definitely make them look presentable enough to wear out in public. (You know you don’t want to look like you’re wearing PJ pants!)
The day I decided to wear my tights was finally cool enough to warrant the layering and I definitely took advantage! I paired the No nonsense tights with a white dress, grey striped cardigan and a denim blazer on top and knee-high Timberland boots on the bottom.
There are so many ways to wear tights and leggings throughout the year, and they really can look flattering on almost all body types as long as you pair them appropriately. This video below shows a great and easy outfit combo that I often too wear!
How do YOU wear your tights and leggings? Are you already dressing for cold weather?
