Earlier this year I attended the Spring Sassy City Chicks event in San Diego and shared my experience at San Diego Bargain Mama. It was a fun night that I enjoyed with my mom, sort of like a girls night out (which we rarely get to do) so it was definitely a treat!

I honestly went to the Spring event just to browse and check out “the scene”, but with such incredible prices I ended up making a couple of fabulous purchases.

Saving for Shopping Spree at Trunk Treasures Consignment Event

My son is 4 now, and throughout the past four years I have learned (the hard way) that kids grow out of their clothing way too soon Over the years I have bought him countless items that he either outgrew before even wearing them, or only wore them a few times before they were too small.

While you have the option to donate those unused clothes, a wonderful way to get some of your money back is to consign them! Shopping in storefront consignment shops is a process. You won’t always find what you’re looking for, and you may have to make a few trips or find other stores. Not to mention taking a number and waiting your turn!

Trunk Treasures is changing that and taking consignment to a whole new level and making the process much easier! With live consignment events, you can spend money and make money at the same time. You can consign gently used and new items (beforehand) and shop all the items July 30-31 at their one-of-a-kind event. Don’t want to consign? Then make it a shopping spree you will not forget! You will find name brand children’s items and clothing as well as stuff for MOM!

Spa Week is coming! & Preview at Pure Spa San Diego

PureSpa & Chiropractic San DiegoThanks to the wonderful women at Spa Week and the “Hot Mom Spa Squad“, I had the pleasure of previewing one of the $50 deals that will be offered during Spa Week (April 11-17th).

Pure Spa & Chiropractic in Tierrasanta is a unique spa with a beautifully relaxing ambiance.

Upon entering Pure Spa San Diego, you’re sure to love the decor! It’s fresh, clean, bright and that’s sure to put a smile on your face.

When waiting for your service, you’re taken to a lovely relaxation room with massage chairs, dim lighting and soft relaxing music to get you in “relaxation mode” and enjoy treating yourself!

The word “Pure” is in the name of the spa but also in their services as well! Their nail techs use Zoya nail polishes which are formaldehyde free, cruelty free, vegan friendly and camphor free. Perfect for pregnant women and those who aren’t fans of the chemicals in other nail polishes.

They also carry Young Blood cosmetics, a line of mineral, fragrance-free cosmetics and their own line called PureFection which is mineral, fragrance-free, oil-free and hypoallergenic.

I had a facial and peel during which I learned quite a bit! I enjoy learning new things about skin care, and the estheticians at Pure Spa are quite knowledgeable and incredibly friendly.

When one thinks of a full-service spa, this place truly takes the cake! Their spa services include massage, skin care, waxing, eyelash extensions, permanent makeup and nails. In addition to offering these spa services at Pure Spa San Diego, Dr. Chantal Russell provides chiropractic adjustments and acupuncture treatments. They also have a Pilates room and offer private sessions.Spa Week | April 11-17th

During Spa Week, Pure Spa & Chiropractic is offering the following services for only $50 each:

  • 50 minute facial [acne, brightening or anti-aging]
  • Partial set of lash extensions [using Novalash lashes]
  • Therapeutic Massage [50 min.]
  • Sugar Brazilian Wax / Brow Wax
    • The “Sugar Wax” uses a 100% natural sugar paste that doesn’t adhere to skin. There’s no muslin used, and the process is similar to tweezing which pulls from root. It causes less ingrown hairs and breaking. The esthetician at Pure Spa is licensed and specially trained in Sugar Waxing.

Appointments for Spa Week are starting to fill-up, and if by chance you aren’t able to get an appointment between the 11th and 17th, Pure Spa & Chiropractic will be extending and accepting Spa Week gift cards through April 24th.
